The member communications center enables more effective communications with union members through email, text messaging *, Facebook, and Twitter. Member CommunicationsEmail and text messages can be sent to individual members, or groups of selected members directly. Simply create a batch of members you want to send a message to, and determine the delivery method - text message or email. Group CommunicationsQuickly send messages to groups of union members. Groups can be specified by selecting All, Active, or Retired methods. You can also further narrow groups by specifying wage classifications. For example you can send a message to all active apprentice members about an upcoming training opportunity. Messages can be sent as either text messages or email. Facebook/TwitterUsing social-networking is an effective way to reach out to your union membership to give them quick and important updates. You can post Twitter updates from within the blu system. With the Twitter application installed in your Facebook account, all Twitter status updates are automatically posted to your Facebook account as well. * A fee-based subscription to a third-party SMS gateway is required for text messaging.
