blu fully integrates with QuickBooks accounting software, which provides the most efficient way to manage your general ledger accounting system.

System Architecture

blu has been designed with a Web 2.0 architecture. Multiple system users are supported. Users access blu from their web browser - with the system running on a centralized server. This greatly simplifies the deployment and management of the system on the user’s desktop, there is no need to install or update any software on the user’s desktop. The server side architecture is built using open-source technologies, which minimizes the need for expensive server software licenses.

Security

Security is completely integrated in the blu design. All users must authenticate before accessing the system. Administrative, standard, and view-only capabilities can be defined for each user. Only administrative users are allowed to delete system information. View only users are restricted from viewing sensitive information, such as: social security numbers, bank account numbers, etc.

System Administration

The system administration modules provide the ability to: manage fund information, reciprocal fund information, training course management, employer classification management, employer agreement management, member wage classifications, member dues classifications, dues/per capita rate management, remittance rate management, user management, and system configuration information.

Help and Documentation

The system includes integrated help and built-in video tutorials to help your staff quickly learn how to use the system. Documentation is also provided in a full-featured wiki, that allows your users to keep customized notes specific to your organizational needs.
